The change readiness approach promotes leadership development, business growth, and workplace wellness by targeting the common ground connecting these three goals. That common ground is change, and readiness for change.
Leading teams and organisations through organisational change is an increasingly important skill as the world becomes more complex. Equally important is creating readiness for change, allowing transformations to occur effectively and efficiently. The change readiness approach promotes leadership development in these critical areas.
Sustainable business growth cannot occur without readiness for change. Whether change affects business systems, roles and functions, work practices, or cultural factors, readiness makes it happen efficiently and effectively.
Workplace wellness depends on people handling change well, adapting to new situations, and maintaining good performance over time. Change readiness and change fitness play a crucial role in promoting this wellness.
For most of human history, change happened slowly. These days, it happens fast.
But the education system hasn’t kept pace. It prepares people for jobs but not for change.
For many people, change is stressful. It makes them anxious, and anxiety hinders their willingness to engage. This affects their performance and effectiveness and increases the risks of failure.
Being ready for change gives any business a significant competitive advantage.
Our approach involves three key elements – what you know, how you think, and the skills you deploy. Creating change readiness in your business and your team depends on all these elements.
The training and resources we use to guide you will produce the outcomes you desire.
If you follow our system, it will work for you. Over the past decade, we have used it with people and businesses from various industries and, on average, have seen a 38% increase in change readiness over three to four months.
Our change readiness approach is easy to use.
We have spent over 20 years researching, teaching, training, and using change readiness to enhance performance, growth, and wellness. The Change Gym’s owner, Dr. Steve Barlow, has a PhD in change readiness, for which he won the Outstanding Thesis Award in 2010. Steve has also taught the topic of change readiness at the master’s level in Australia since 2016.
